Dear Kids:
So today you’re back to school after having been off for well over a week. The weather was too cold to go anywhere or do much of anything other than relax at home which was alright with all of us. My only concern during this time off was the constant need to latch onto technology whether it’s tv, an iPad or Nintendo. When I was a kid, I had none of those things. Between my siblings and myself, somehow we figured out how to keep ourselves occupied in a tiny 700 sq. foot apartment on Sackett Street in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Nonetheless, it was great being together even if Dad had to work on New Year’s Eve. Our friend and neighbor Carolyn invited us 12/31 for an impromptu get-together and we stayed there until just past midnight. We had fun. You had fun. And then we came home where I let you stay up late (Gustavo stayed up until 2 am-Milena wanted to stay up and wait for Daddy but she was finally ready for bed at 1:00 am. Happy New Year Kiddos.
