Dear Kids:

It's not always easy getting you two ready for school in the morning but when it is easy and we're not rushing, it's one of my favorite things to do. I get to hold you hands (which is not necessary but I love it) and we get to talk and hang whilst on the way to kindergarten. I get to meet some of your friends, I get to have any final words with you and set you up for whatever the day will look like once I pick you up and I get to kiss you and wave goodbye.  And while I love it, I also feel a tinge of sadness knowing that these are days of innocence, fun and purity of spirit. One day, before I know it, you'll be hanging out with your friends and not with me. You won't want me to walk you to school let alone be seen with me. I know it's coming but in the meantime, I'll enjoy the present which truly is a present for me. I also know that it's a present for you too. I love you.
